PokerStars Turbo TakeDown Anniversary

May 24, 2009

PokerStars is once again leading the way in online poker tournament prizes.  Not only are they hosting the May edition of the $1 Million PokerStars Turbo Takedown but this will also be the first anniversary of the $1 Million guarantee tournament.  So what could they do to top the $1 Million in guaranteed cash this tournament offers…. well give away a brand new Porsche Cayman S!

The Turbo Takedown occurs regularly during the last Sunday of every month and to get in players pay 5,000 FPP’s.  However, since it is the first anniversary, PokerStars is letting players in for just 2,000 FPP’s for May only.  This means that players better sign up quickly in order to get in on the action and get their crack at winning not only a piece of the $1 Million prize pool, but also the Porsche Cayman S.

May Turbo Takedown Summary:

  • Buy-in reduced to 2,000 FPP (originally 5,000 FPP)
  • Cap increased to 30,000 players – meaning 10,000 players will receive a share of the $1 million prize pool
  • First prize will include cash and the 10th Porsche PokerStars have awarded

If you don’t want to use that many FPPs to enter the tournament, you could win your seat in the Turbo Takedown through one of PokerStars’ regular satellites. Starting from as little as 8 FPP, these qualifiers can be found under the Tourney > Satellite > FPP tab or the Sit & Go > Satellite > FPP tab in your PokerStars lobby, giving you the chance to potentially turn 8 FPPs in to a Porsche!

The $1 Million PokerStars Turbo Takedown takes place on the last Sunday of every month at 14:30 ET (this month on May 31st) and is located under the Tourney > Special tab in your PokerStars lobby.
